We all know Whink girls have a certain style, which is why we think we found our perfect spokesperson; Katy Perry.
Angela, one of our loyal Whink Girls and her best friend and sister Tonia travelled to Toronto recently to celebrate her birthday weekend with Katy Perry.
Here’s Angela’s experience in her own words.
We lined up at 2:30 pm after getting lost wandering around Toronto. The doors opened at 6:30, but getting there early meant we were right in front of the stage and Katy.
After two opening acts, Ferras and Capital Cities, a pyramid rose out of the stage and opened to reveal Katy.
I could feel the energy of the stadium build as she became more and more visible. It was a moment of pure joy and excitement for me!
For more than two hours she sang, changed costumes, danced. The whole show was beyond belief.
And of course Katy Perry herself was everything I thought she would be in person and more. She is a fabulous performer, but she is also so genuine and you can see the love and consideration she has for her fans.
I have been a fan of Katy Perry’s since her One of the Boys album back in 2008 and I think she is an amazing artist, who draws in fans with her energy, warmth and love of music. Plus she is gorgeous!
My favorite song is Firework. It’s such a powerful song, that speaks to all her fans; letting them know that they are important, they mean something to the world. I listen to Firework when I’m having a bad day or just to be lifted up a little, when she sang it on stage only feet in front of us, I was so excited and sang along to every word.
Though I hope I am fortunate enough to attend more of her concerts; this was a once in a lifetime experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life!
Angela seems to think Katy’s got what it takes to be a Whink Girl. What do you think? Would you have a fan freak out or wave it off if Katy was helping you pick your next Whink jewels? Let us know in the comments.
